Whats up??

thanks so much for your letters i absolutely love reading them! as for pictures mom i am ok i brought a small photo album with ski and wake board pics so im good. i showed them to the practical magic family and they went nuts with ooooos and ahhhhs and how cute when they saw the picture of floyd laying on the scriptures and also they loved the one of my eagle with london and marcus's face inbetween us. i dont know if you remember that.i got some of the pictures of pres monson they were awesome! there is so much talk among the missionaries here about general authorities and apostles and it's unheard of to say stuff like "o ya...well the prophet visited with my family" ha ha its awesome. especially my comp, he is obsessed with knowing everything about every general authority so i think he is dumbfounded.i did get the pics from last week and they worked perfectly last week but i had some problems opening the ones this week.

im glad to hear that your new calling is going great. i think you two got called to it because these youth need you more than the others cause they are preparing for much bigger things in their lives like marriage and missions and all that and you guys are studs and can help them! i gave some of that gum to the prac magic family for "dia del nino" which means kid day. they have a kid day like fathers day and mothers day, why didnt we have that when i was younger? but they loved it, also we stayed around for a little bit and ate completos, completos are hot dogs here with like a million condiments including mayo salsa cilantro and avocado. they are way better than the hot dogs in the us but i think they have 3000 calories a piece.

about riley adamson... what a stud! i actually spent a week or two with him in the mtc and he is awesome. but i love that kid and he is gonna be a great missionary. i cant even imagine how hard that would be to get news that your father died. and matt lelegran...that is ridiculous! robbed at gun point?!!i just recieved some crazy news...elder espinel got transferred to the island! juan fernandez! its just off the coast of chile its on the maps. but ya there are only 2 missionaries at a time on the island and they are way isolated. they dont come to meetings or anything until they leave. crazy crazy im gonna miss him.

mom, hang in there. i know it will be tough when london leaves. i'm praying for you and know that you'll receive comfort when she's gone.
dad thats crazy about the ski resort kinda thing that you did ha ha i would be stoked too. thats crazy about bush too and hopefully we will be able to open china soon and marcus can serve there! speaking of bush how are the elections going? sore subject? sorry. i liked what you said about becoming a friend with christ dad. i really feel like my prayers and relationship has doubled or tripled since i have come here and i have learned that we really can pray ad ask for anything and he will help us. life is so much easier when we rely on the lord for help i know this!!!

it is good to hear that the years arent taking away your amazing golf ability, that's awesome about you and craig. as for me, well we can't play golf and there aren't courses in my mission so i won't be rubbin anything in ha ha. ya you can send me small articles but no books. i have to send a tiny reference book home that i brought cause it's not part of the library.
london just keep hangin in there i can't believe some of the foods that you are gonna be eating. at least the weather is good. hopefully your letter gets there, i believe it will i sent it on the fourth. marcus- thanks for the updates on the olympics and the x games. i loved hearing about them from you it was killer! i can't believe the new tricks that are invented! you have to keep a notebook of cool stuff and music and music to show me when i return. ha ha

so as we were visiting the practical magic family they were showing us pictures of previous missionaries and guess who was one of them? elder pierce who is the grandson of president hinckley! he visited them for a long time along with other elders and its a miracle... finally the daughter got baptised that i told you about that was big and i was scared. i guess she has been listening to missionaries for a long time and finally her time came. it has been amazing how her life has changed from almost all day in bed, lazy and sick, to working almost all day and helping us teach in the streets. its amazing this gospel.also another thing that i thought was cool is one day i was in the metro and i looked in the corner of the metro cause i heard laughing and on the floor were 4 blind people. there were 2 guys and 2 girls and they were chillin in the corner and laughing and leaning on each other and just having a good time. it was so cool to see and i started counting my blessings and how we can always make the best out of what we have. i imagined them saying.. ya we dont have sight but life is good and we are having a good time. it was so cool.

i love you guys so much

elder peterson
