family!
how are you guys? im doing good here it sounds like you are all really busy and a lot of things are changing, but thats ok cause change is good! i sent london a personal letter in the mail today and she should get it before she leaves for china. im hoping she gets it! so i got the package on wednesday....wow!!!! i did have a big smile on my face ha ha. i dont know if i could have hand picked anything better! i loved everything great job! one thing..dont send gum cause i cant chew it but other than that it was amazing. i havent had the opportunity to try my mac n cheese cause my comp is always cooking, but i think i will this week. so about the pictures, im stoked that you got them it took forever to send them so im thinking of making a cd next monday of all my pictures and keeping the cd and sending the memory card.. hopefully it works. if it gets stolen ill have the cds and ill send cds from now on. but one thing i think would be good is one or two more memory cards. im a little hesitant to take pictures cause i run out of memory pretty fast with the videos. the memory cards i have have a really short memory.
that is so cool that the martins and andi got to talk to the prophet!!! that is even cooler that he went out of his way to say hi to everyone and visit chads grandpa. i wouldnt be suprised if he mentions something about that in general conf. i remember years back when we were at the light of the world and i got to meet him. he asked me for my name and got it right the first time, that meant a lot to me. i hope james remembers that experience!
well i dont have a lot of time today cause we got up at 5 am and went to see "the snow" wow ha ha. everyone was so stoked cause they have never seen it before and i was like, whats the big deal? ha ha. 5am and a 2 and a half hour bus ride,it was torture. we went up to one of their ski resorts called portillo. it was actually pretty cool but so plain. there are no trees and only three lifts. So not only was the bus ride torture but i saw people skiing and it was mega torture. but it was fun i took some videos so hopefully i can send them soon. one of the videos is of a bunch of guys in camo. it was like the army ski squad. they all had nice skiis and stuff and i was taking pictures of them and they were all gathered together doing these super uber nerd excercises i was laughing pretty hard. it was like "ski boot camp" i imagined the drill sargent yelling " lift those skiis up soldier!!" we went into the lodge and they have some way cool t shirts but they were 40 bucks, so maybe i will buy them later on in my mission but not now.
about that family from peru, thanks for praying for them marcus and everyone else. we are sending their info to peru and will try to keep in touch with them. now the mom and the two kids are in peru. what happened is the kids decided not to ever come back so the parents want to be with them so they are moving back. its been really tough cause they have only been here about 2 and a half months and thought they would be living here so they bought really nice mattresses and a tv and a nice laptop and other stuff and i guess when you move from country to country down here, they dont let you carry anything across the border so they have to sell everything! its a really tough situation and edgar the father is left here to sell everything for dirt cheap, and they are already really poor. we are trying to help him out but he is a stud. i believe he will help his kids get the holy ghost. i just recieved news that we gotta go.. so sorry i couldnt say more but im doin good and thanks for all your prayers. keep movin forward and serving others!
i love you,
elder peterson
