Chance's Email 10/26/08

hey fam!
wow thanks for the emails i have spent a lot of time reading them today and some my friends sent some and like 5 from elder bentancur ha ha. he called today and was talking to me it was cool. well i'm doing really good. seriously. last week was tough cause i had a pretty big burden on my shoulders but now i'm used to it and i am actually feeling like i'm achieving my potential. it's awesome, it was tough last week but i'm growing from the trials i had. my comp loves to work and is really obedient so we are good there. sometimes he needs some encouraging but i'm ready to give it whenever. so i sent a letter to the house with a memory card with like 4 or 5 videos on it. it was really last minute so i forgot to delete some videos if they were stupid. the lady who stamped my letter was a little skeptic cause she felt something hard in the envelope and asked me what was in there and i tried to answer without lying but she put a green sticker on it so i dont know what that means but i hope it gets there. i got the package!! wow it was great. before i continue i just wanna say i stinkin love the packages but they are expensive so mom i'm living here in chile, there is candy here too and you can send the packages less often if you want cause i know they are like 50 bucks a piece. wow the package was awesome i loved the candy, spaghettios and cereal. they are awesome. i'm glad you have guessed good enough with the cereals cause there are some american cereals here but very few.

ok as for the work, we are lowering in our numbers since my comp left, but i'm learning a lot and we are working like crazy and being obedient and the blessings are waiting around the corner. one experience i had that i wrote in sissy's letter is we were knocking doors yesterday and came upon two young guns who were 19 and you could tell they were headed in the wrong direction so we were talking to them a lot and had a big gospel discussion about the plan of salvation and why we were at their door talking to them, we told them how much the gospel means to us and i could feel like i could really relate to them and i feel like we helped them a ton. i love sharing the gospel like that. i felt so happy after and things like that just make my mission. i know later on they are gonna listen to the missionaries and hopefully serve missions.

dad thanks for all the advice and mom for the quotes. wow i love nephi's psalm it's awesome, and some of those quotes are killer. i see roses everday knocking doors and i'm always gonna think of that quote now. no matter how awesome the mission is satan always tries to tear us down and see the negative. i have learned to be more positive about things and see the good.
